Modern day problems don’t always require modern day solutions, sometimes old is definitely gold. When it comes to corporate slaves slogging off glued to their chairs from 9 to 5, or students stressed over long study hours and way too many assignments, it is their body that stiffens up, eyesight that becomes weak and mind utterly exhausted. While this sedentary lifestyle helps them churn out big bucks, it takes a huge toll on their mental and physical well being. To combat this occupational hazard, the best solution is to turn to the teachings of our forefathers, i.e. Yoga.
Let me introduce you to five such Yoga Asanas that one can perform in the confines of their offices or classrooms, mostly seated on their chairs.
After long hours of sitting, it is the posture and spine of a person that is prominently impacted. Therefore, it becomes imperative to stretch and sit with the correct posture.
Asana No 1 : Seated Spinal Twist (Chair Yoga)

Sit upright on your chair.
Place your right hand on the backrest, left hand on your knee.
Gently twist your spine to the right while keeping your feet grounded.
Hold 5 breaths, then switch sides.

Asana No. 2 : Seated Cat–Cow Stretch

Inhale: arch your back, open chest (Cow).
Exhale: round your back, tuck chin toward chest (Cat).
Repeat 5–10 times.

Asana No. 3 : Tadasana (Mountain Pose with Stretch)
